Next Men Up?

Congratulations to Beaudy Barrett and his team mates on becoming Under 20 World Rugby Champions. The light from John George's smile, as an FDMC man scored the winning try, would have lit up most of Tukapa Street.

Those who watched some of the games on TV would have noted a few old boys supporting the boys - funny how a camera always seems to find Tim Hurley.

Beaudy is now back in the country ready to start the next chapter in his rugby odyssey, something that is also happening for a few of our current 1st XV players.

Zac (brother of Leon) Power , Scott (brother of many) Barrett , Jade (brother of Shane) Fleming , Teihorangi (brother of Josh) Walden and Andrew (his own man) Trolove have all been selected to attend the Hurricanes secondary schools training camp. This puts them in the frame for the Hurricanes and NZ secondary sides. We wish them well and know that they will continue to keep a smile on John George, and Br Will's, faces.
